Deals of the Week: ten verified tech offers (week 44/2026)

Every week we check the prices, codes and promotions of the providers we write about directly on their websites – not on coupon portals. Only offers we saw ourselves on the check date are listed here, each with a source and an honest verdict: what is genuinely cheaper, and what is merely well packaged? Prices are in US dollars excluding tax, as the providers display them to us; amounts in francs, pounds or euros will differ. Some links are affiliate links; they do not affect our selection or our verdicts.

Black Friday: Complete $3.99 instead of $4.49, Prime $6.99 instead of $7.49 per month

Complete $3.99/month ($107.73 for 27 months), Prime $6.99/month ($188.73); Basic unchanged at $3.49

valid until 9 December 2026

NordVPN has been running its Black Friday promotion since 21 October and gives 9 December 2026 as the end date. On the 2-year plan with three extra months, Complete costs $3.99 instead of $4.49 per month ($107.73 for 27 months) and Prime $6.99 instead of $7.49 ($188.73). The Basic plan stays at $3.49 ($94.23) – the promotion changes nothing there. New this year are three free months on the 1-year plans as well: $4.99 / $5.99 / $8.99 per month for 15 months. All the details and the comparison with 2025 are in our Black Friday analysis (→ NordVPN Black Friday 2026: what the promotion really gets you).

Our verdict

Worth it if you want Complete (with password manager and cloud storage) or Prime – you save around $13.50 over the 27 months either way. If you only need the VPN, Basic costs the same as before the promotion. After the 27 months, NordVPN renews at the regular price from $139.08 per year.

2PromotionSurfshark checked on 31 October 2026

“Black Friday deal”: One $2.49 instead of $2.79, One+ $3.99 instead of $4.49 per month

Starter and One $2.49/month ($67.23 for 27 months), One+ $3.99/month ($107.73)

On the pricing page, the One plan carries the label “Black Friday deal”: $2.49 per month on the 2-year plan with three extra months ($67.23 for 27 months), down from $2.79 before the promotion. One+ costs $3.99 instead of $4.49 ($107.73). Starter is also $2.49 – the same price as One, which additionally includes antivirus and data-breach alerts. Surfshark does not name an end date. Its coupon page lists the codes SHARKGIFT and SHARKSECURE, but the pricing page shows the same amounts without any code. For context, see our Surfshark analysis (→ Surfshark review 2026: cheap, but is it good?).

Our verdict

If you are torn between Starter and One, take One – same price, more features. Bear in mind the security incident of September 2026 (an internal test server; according to Surfshark, no user data was affected); the independent audit that was announced has not published any results to date.

25% off the first year for new customers: Individual $2.99, Families $4.49 per month

Individual $2.99/month ($35.88 in the first year), Families $4.49/month ($53.88); then $3.99 and $5.99 respectively

Signing up directly at 1password.com, new customers pay $2.99 instead of $3.99 per month for Individual and $4.49 instead of $5.99 for Families (up to five people) in the first year, billed annually in both cases. According to the promotion terms, the price applies only to subscriptions taken out via the website, not through the App Store or Google Play. No end date is given on the page. 1Password has been more expensive since March 2026 (Individual $47.88 instead of $35.88 per year); the discount roughly offsets the increase in the first year.

Our verdict

Good for families who want 1Password anyway – family sharing and Travel Mode are its strengths. If you are looking for a cheap or free manager, compare Bitwarden (below) and our password-manager comparison first.

4Discount codeNordPass checked on 31 October 2026

Code gladyoufoundthis: one free month on the 2-year Premium plan

NordPass's coupon page still lists the code gladyoufoundthis: if you buy the 2-year Premium plan, you get one additional month free. NordPass does not state an expiry date. Students get 10% off the same plan with STUDENT10. nordpass.com shows the prices themselves only in the browser (according to the provider's FAQ, “from €1.23 per month”); the Black Friday page was not accessible on the day we checked. More about the provider: our NordPass profile (→ Provider profile: how trustworthy is NordPass?).

Our verdict

One free month on 24 months is around 4% – nice, but no reason to hurry. Entering the code at checkout costs you nothing; what matters more is whether you need a password manager with a data-breach scanner and email masks at all. The business code NPFALL26 (10%) was only valid until 31 October 2026.

5FreeBitwarden checked on 31 October 2026

Free with no device limit – Premium for $1.65 per month

Free $0; Premium $1.65/month ($19.80/year); Families $3.99/month ($47.88/year)

Bitwarden Free stores unlimited passwords and passkeys on an unlimited number of devices and keeps them in sync – something most competitors charge for. Premium costs $1.65 per month, billed annually at $19.80, and adds data-breach reports, 1 GB of attachments and one-time codes in the vault. Families for six people costs $3.99 per month ($47.88 per year). Both prices have applied since the increase in January 2026 and are not promotional prices.

Our verdict

The best free password manager in our comparison, and the cheapest paid one too. Downside: the interface and design are plainer than 1Password's or NordPass's. No affiliate link – we earn nothing from it.

6FreeProton VPN checked on 31 October 2026

Free: no data limit, no ads, one device

$0 (VPN Plus 24 months $3.49/month, as of 12 October 2026)

Proton VPN describes its free plan as the “only free VPN with no data limit, no ads and no logs” and promises that it will stay free. Restrictions: one device at a time, no free choice of location (according to the support page, the free servers are located in ten countries) and no streaming. The kill switch is included in the Free plan too. When a paid VPN is worth it is covered in our guide (→ Do you really need a VPN in 2026? The honest guide).

Our verdict

For public Wi-Fi when travelling, Free is perfectly sufficient. If you want to choose server locations or protect several devices, compare the Black Friday prices of NordVPN and Surfshark above.

Codes HERMESINVEST and MYESIMNOW5: 5% off all travel eSIMs

Our code HERMESINVEST gives 5% off all Holafly eSIMs (last checked at checkout on 16 July 2026). On its code page, Holafly itself lists the permanent code MYESIMNOW5, also 5% off for all destinations including the Unlimited plans, as well as MONTHLYPLAN10 with 10% off the monthly plans for long-term travellers. Only one code can be used per purchase. Holafly has not yet announced a Black Friday promotion for 2026 – its Black Friday page still shows the 2025 promotion (“3 for 2”, ended). Prices and refund rules: our Holafly review (→ Holafly review 2026: prices, limits & honest verdict).

Our verdict

5% is 5% – outside of promotions, Holafly does not offer more. If you are travelling at the end of November, you can hope for a Black Friday promotion like the one in 2025, but there is no evidence of one. For light data users, GB packages from Airalo or Saily are usually cheaper than Holafly's Unlimited days.

Lifetime 2 TB for $499 – Black Friday deal announced, but no price yet

Lifetime $219 (500 GB), $499 (2 TB), $1,499 (10 TB); subscription $4.99 / $9.99 / $29.99 per month

On its pricing page, pCloud shows the Lifetime plans at $219 (500 GB), $499 (2 TB) and $1,499 (10 TB), each with crossed-out comparison prices of $279, $709 and $2,799 – these amounts have been unchanged since the beginning of October. On its blog, pCloud announces “The pCloud Black Friday deal is the best offer we run all year” and collects email addresses for early access, but gives neither prices nor a date. In 2025 the promotion ran from 13 to 30 November, with 2 TB Lifetime for €279. The Halloween promotion (Encryption Lifetime $115) ends today. Everything about the provider: our pCloud review (→ pCloud review 2026: is the lifetime cloud storage worth it?).

Our verdict

Don't buy now if you can wait two weeks: every year, pCloud has its lowest Lifetime prices in November. We will add the deal on the day it is published.

18% cheaper with annual billing – no code needed

Starter $19/month for 1,000 contacts (monthly billing), 18% less with annual billing

GetResponse charges 18% less with annual billing than with monthly billing: Starter for 1,000 contacts then works out at around $15.60 instead of $19 per month, Marketer at around $48.40 instead of $59. No seasonal promotion is active on the pricing page – the Black Friday text block in the page's source code is switched off. Be careful with the annual contract: under its own rules, GetResponse does not issue refunds. All pricing tiers and the limitations of the free plan: our GetResponse profile (→ Provider profile: how trustworthy is GetResponse?).

Our verdict

Only sensible if you have already tried the tool and want to stay – because of the lack of refunds. If you send rarely or want to pay in Swiss francs, have a look at Brevo.

10FreeBrevo checked on 31 October 2026

Free plan: 300 emails per day, up to 100,000 contacts – Starter from CHF 7

Free 0; Starter $9 / €7 / CHF 7 per month; Standard $18 / €15 / CHF 15 per month (5,000 emails each)

Brevo's free plan allows 300 emails per day and stores up to 100,000 contacts; automations run for up to 2,000 contacts, transactional emails are included, but every email carries the Brevo logo. Starter costs $9 / €7 / CHF 7 per month ($96.96 or €75.96 per year), Standard $18 / €15 / CHF 15 ($194.04 or €162 per year) – each for 5,000 emails per month; larger volumes cost more. Brevo is the only one of the three big tools in our email-marketing comparison (currently in German) that lists prices in Swiss francs.

Our verdict

The best choice for clubs, small shops and anyone who sends less often than daily. No affiliate link. Weaknesses: live chat has been dropped, and additional users cost extra.

What we checked but did not include

Parallels Desktop: no Black Friday promotion has been published for 2026 (as of 31 October 2026). In previous years there was 25% off (2023, 2024) and 50% off the first year (2025, from 20 November). The regular prices are in our Parallels Desktop review (→ Parallels Desktop 27 review: Windows on the Mac – what it can do and what it can't); as soon as the promotion is live, we will update our Parallels Black Friday page (currently in German).

Saily: its Black Friday page promises “Save 5% on eSIMs”, hides the code behind a button and still gives the 2025 dates in its FAQ. Without a visible code and period, we are not including the offer. Airalo: its Black Friday page still shows the 2024 promotion (15%, maximum $7) – expired.

ExpressVPN ($2.99 per month for 28 months, then $99.95 per year) and CyberGhost ($2.19 per month for 26 months, labelled “Halloween deal”, then $56.94 per year) show the same prices as at our check on 12 October – these are permanent prices with changing labels, not promotions. Both are covered in our VPN guide (→ Do you really need a VPN in 2026? The honest guide).

NordPass Black Friday: the page nordpass.com/black-friday was not accessible on the day we checked; its meta description mentions three extra months on 2-year plans. Without readable prices and an end date, it stays out.

How we check the offers

We retrieved every offer directly from the provider's website on the check date – pricing page, coupon page or official blog. We do not take over coupon portals, influencer codes or third-party “exclusive” discounts, because they cannot be verified. We only name codes that the provider itself publishes or that we have tested at checkout.

Prices are in US dollars excluding tax, as the providers display them to us. In Switzerland, the UK or the EU, the amount in francs, pounds or euros may differ, and with most VPN providers the low price applies only to the first term – renewal costs considerably more. Where we know the renewal price, it is stated.

Some links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we receive a commission and you pay no more. Bitwarden and Brevo are not partners and are listed here anyway, because for many readers they are the best choice. How we work is explained on our page “How we test” (→ How we work).

FAQ

When are the Deals of the Week published?

Every Friday or Saturday we re-check all the offers and publish a new issue. Older issues remain accessible with their check date so that you can compare prices – the latest issue is always the one that counts.

Is it worth waiting for Black Friday on 27 November?

Not for NordVPN and Surfshark: both have had their Black Friday prices live since October, NordVPN until 9 December. For pCloud, yes – the deal has been announced but has not started yet, and in previous years the lowest Lifetime prices came in November. For Parallels, nothing has been published for 2026 yet.

Do the prices also apply in Switzerland or the EU?

The providers show us US dollars excluding tax. In Switzerland, NordVPN and Surfshark bill in francs or euros depending on your settings, Brevo lists franc prices directly, and pCloud bills in euros for Europe. The actual amount only appears at checkout – check it before you buy.

Why is an offer I saw elsewhere missing?

We only include what we saw ourselves on the provider's website on the check date. Codes from coupon portals, expired promotions and offers without a period or price are left out – even if they came from partners.

Does DealsScout earn money from these offers?

From NordVPN, NordPass, Holafly, GetResponse and Parallels, yes – via affiliate links, at no extra cost to you. Surfshark, 1Password, Proton VPN, pCloud, Bitwarden and Brevo are linked without commission. The order and the verdicts are based on what is useful for you, not on the commission.
